So Inari has been a little more than busy outside her door. Every year there is a little festival held in her honor, which was quite humbling, and she had forgotten about bringing a part of it to the Bar. It was to her a way of saying 'thank you' to the patrons and the place for always being there for her when she needed them ( Read more... )

Ramon rarely pays attention to notices posted in the bar; partly this is because he doesn't trust things like this (who would be that generous?) and partly because he's extremely self-absorbed.

Still. It's hard to ignore three wishes. He looks around for the owner of the stones. Seeing Inari, he asks;

'These yours?'

When Inari turned her head toward the man who had spoke, she gave a gentle little smile. "They are," she replied in a light, airy sort of fashion from around the edge of her teacup. "You may take one if you wish."

Carefully she set the little cup down lightly tilting her head toward Ramon causing the charms to sway ever so gently amongst the springs of cherry blossoms in her hair. "There are no catches to these unlike some of the treats that are given out here."

'Three wishes?'

Easily too good to be true.

'What's in it for you?'

To blue eyes blinked along with the slightest of little frowns crossing her face. "Nothing. It is my way of saying thank you to the patrons here as well as Milliways herself."

Carefully she turned in her seat, bowing ever so slightly toward Ramon letting the smile slip right back upon her face. "I do not believe we have met before. Most here call me Inari."

"Wishing stones? And these are the only catches?"

"Kate!"

Even though she nearly choaked on the tea, the kitsune was setting it down and turning in a hurry toward her friend. She had the broadest of smiles across her face as she did so as well. "You should know me well enough by now! There are no catches, no gimics."

Patting the spot beside of her she offered a little giggle. "The people of Kyoto recently held a festival in my honor- quite humbling really- and I wanted to do something for the people here. A way of saying thank you."

Kate smiled back at her and sat down, ready to hug the goddess.

"That's nice of them, and you. Sorry, a friend of mine's magic went weird for some reason. Hence the asking."

Oh any hug would be returned! Kate might find herself getting one faster than she can give one even!

"Oh that is a shame! I do understand the need for asking. This place.. does have a tendency to spring surprises on people."

Mia still has her Persian and Egyptian finery on with her robes. With such obvious wealth, one might guess she wouldn't look at such a notice, but curiosity's got the better of her once again.

She reads over the rules and deems them fair. It's a good deal. Logic says she should take it. But as she looks at the stones, she ponders whether she will.

She has no idea what to wish for!

The woman a seat or two down from the bowl is watching from the corner of a bright blue eye, smiling.

Mia is more than welcome to take one if she so wants.

She scratches her head as she thinks of anything, anything at all, that she could possibly want ( ... )

"You have a good heart," the woman spoke from where she sat, murming around the edge of the teacup. "Even the simpliest of wishes are often the best. One does not always have to wish for money, power, fame."

Carefully she sat the teacup down turning a warm and friendly smile toward Mia. "They will not run out or expire, child. There are no tricks, no strings."

The sign is eyed. As are the stones. But Inari is Jenny's friend and someone she trusts a lot. So, she picks up one of the stones and turns to smile at Inari.

"Would it help Bart, Inari?"

In her hand the stone is cool to the touch though the symbols that start to etch their way into its surface glow an odd color of green. Turning toward the girl who spoke to her Inari smiled, though it weakened slightly at her question.

"That would depend, my dear, as to what sort of help you want it to be." Patting a spot beside of her she let the smile grow a little more across her face. "Join me for some tea?"

Jenny nods, sitting on the nearby bar stool without hesitation. Her focus switches to the stone for a moment, frowning a little at the glow of the etches, before glancing back at Inari.

She wouldn't give her anything dangerous, right?

"I want him to feel better," she explains a few seconds later. "A lot better."

"Is he ill?" Inari asked, canting her head slightly and studying the younger girl beside of her with a warm smile. "Please, do start from the beginning if you feel like telling me? To fully understand what sort of 'feeling better' you hope as a wish I would need to know to tell you if it would work or not."

Carefully she slid a cup of fresh tea toward Jenny.

It's seeing her name written in glowing letters on one stone in a bowl full of stones is what catches Val's attention and curiosity so she comes over. She studies the sign and chews her lip. Magic has never been something she trusted, despite her heritage, but she sure could use a wish about now.

[Can I beg the favor of jumping to slowtime immediately after tagging? I normally wouldn't but this is a great way to take care of some unfinished business with Val and her Uncle.

[ooc: That is quite all right!]

A few seats down the kami watches, smiling, waiting for questions that may be there. If not then she will return to her tea waiting on the next patron to come about.

Val stares at the stone and then reads the sign again. Whomever made these must have some power, more than her father in fact (though she would never say it), if the sign is to be believed. But would it be enough power?

Val looks around to see if she can identify the stones creator and notes the woman in the elegant kimono. Val does some mental calculations and approaches the woman. She bows precisely low enough to suggest that she is the daughter of the ruler of a kingdom who is giving respect to someone who may rule a larger kingdom than her father. She then says, without standing back up, "I beg forgiveness for my ill manners. Are you the creator of these stones?"

It never hurts to use etiquette, especially when those whom have power are concerned.
