When an operative enters a room, usually she checks the exits first. After that, counter surveillance and potential threats. And finally, potential clients or contacts. Information is useful and there is always information to be had.

It's not long before a familiar fellow moseys up and leans himself nonchalantly against the counter.

"This seat taken?" he asks.

His smile is friendly with just a hint of sportiveness.

He settles himself on the open stool and accepts the black coffee that automatically appears on the bartop.

"Any trouble with your fella after our last meeting? He seemed a little.... put out."

Fi grins, shaking her head. A touch of colour rises in her cheeks. "No, that's just Max. He tends to be, well, melodramatic."

Teja does not take any heed of machines from the future, broken or not; he comes to the bar, followed by three cats, and orders cat food.

For some reason, the cats always know when he means to do that.

Fi glances up at the patter of furry feet. She smiles and nods.

Three bowls of wet cat food appear on the bar, and the largest of the cats, a white-and-grey male, stands up on his hind feet behind his human, and mewls loudly, barely able to contain his enthusiasm.

The other two mewl loudly and impatiently as well.

"Fairly well," he says with a return smile, settling down (sort of) cross legged in the air by her table, "I haven't been around much, too much to do looking for a place to give the Lessers when they're whole. How about you? I notice you've got a fried circuit board there."

"Detonator, actually. Post detonation. I'm trying to figure it out." She holds it up to the light and fiddles with it. "If I do, it means a new revenue stream."

Her tongue sticks out a bit as she works.
