"Hmm." Suzi thinks about that for a while, and nods slowly, "I think I can make something that won't clash with the House ring. Thank you, Jim."

"I'll probably ask. We're just going to sign papers, I think? But witnesses and ... I don't know. Suddenly I have nervous flutters."

"There will be a justice of the peace as well...a civic representative authorized under the law to perform a wedding." He can't imagine either Suzi or Whistler would care about a religious ceremony. "And you shouldn't be nervous. Other then your legal status, not much is going to change for you two."

She smiles brightly and blushes, "Thank you, Jim. It was so wonderful when he asked."

"As it does in a lot of cultures. But it's still important.

"And it seems to have made you very happy." Which in turn makes Jim happier, which he needed.

"Uh huh." Suzi admits, "It's, well. I'm kind of a sucker for him doing things like that."

"You mean being romantic?" Something Jim wouldn't say of himself.

"Uh huh." Suzi says, "It's amazing every time he does something to show he loves me. I mean, I know he does? I could zlin him through layers of steel? But he shows me anyway."

"As anyone in love really should. Emotions should be demonstrated. Within reason of course, but certainly they should be shared." Sorry, Spock.

Suzi agrees and nods, laughing softly, "It's nice. Very, very nice.
