"I don't think the First Lord would approve of that," Max points out.

"How could that work?" Max asks, frowning. He's never been much of an intellectual, really.

"But..." Max shakes his head, "It's gold and silver. Of course it's valuable."

Duh.

"There's nothing to buy on a deserted island," Max points out as if this makes the entire thing obvious.

"But if I'm anywhere that I want to buy something I'd rather have the gold than the bread." Max is beginning to suspect that there is something wrong with YT. Or at least with her world.

"Your people sound very odd," Max decides, taking a long pull from his drink.

Max snorts and shakes his head.

"Not that I mind, really..." YT herself, after all, remains hot.
