On the icce nearby, there's a slightly purple penguin looking at Guppy askance.

"Need help?"

"Yes, please." Guppy says. "I think this is..."

The ice breaks and he topples into the water. Luckily it's only about five and a half feet deep, giving him four inches of breathing space when he gets upright at the surface again.

"BLOODY FREEZING!"

Asar-Suti turns into a tiger and grabs Guppy by the collar, to keep him from going under.

He falls in the water himself; but a tiger doesn't mind that much. They live in Siberia, after all.

"Sorry." Guppy splutters. "I can just about reach the bottom."

He grips the edge of the ice, wondering how to get back up again.

I hope Guppy likes flying. Rem saw the unfortunate happenstance and swooped in to grab him under his arms.

"Aargh!"

Guppy's initial reaction is to scream, since he's not all that good at heights, and to grab hold of Rem. When he sees it's her, he relaxes somewhat.

"Thanks Rem." he says. "I'm not good with heights, can you put me down on the ground please?"

Rem grinned and landed next to the back door.

"You are welcome," she said, "be more careful."

"I wasn't expecting the plant." Guppy says, glad to be on solid ground. He's both trembling and shivering.

"Thanks." he says again. "That was a bit close."

Atton heads to the edge of the lake, peering at Guppy.

"Do you need help there?"

"I think I might..." Guppy says, as the ice breaks under him and he goes under. Fortunately it's not more than five and a half feet deep, and he manages to get his feet under enough to get his face out.

Atton paces across the ice (and, strangely, it doesn't even crack beneath him, despite probably weighing more than Guppy) before reaching down.

"C'mon, take my hand."

Guppy struggles up to reach, grabbing out for it. His skates aren't very stable on the lake floor.
