Sam, post-party, is lounging on a sofa by the fire. He'd been vaguely smart for the party - no tie of course, but a nice red shirt - but there are one or two buttons missing from the bottom now and he looks entirely relaxed.
He's mildly tipsy - he drank a lot of rum, plus one or two Atlanteans - but functionally so, and is currently amusing

Minerva remembers the not'cat.
"Hello," she says, setting her book aside to look down at it and tickle its ears with the tips of her fingers.
"You know, you're singularly difficult to pet while you're down there. Lap?"

Amusedly, "Imagine the nerve of me, offering up my lap so that you can have attention paid to you. I don't know how I do it."

Just kidding. It's a mug of coffee. Definitely not iced. It might have a little less sugar than usual, but no one can tell that just from looking at it. (Actually, Cal can't tell, either. The Bar is crafty like that.)
He brings his non-iced untea over and takes a seat next to Sam by the fire.
"Hi," he says, looking at the cat's cradle.

She was careful, at least, not to approach Minerva from behind.
