Booth is still recovering (bullet wounds to the chest require a high degree of recuperative time, especially when the patient insists in interrupting the healing process to apprehend a fugitive). But aside from that, life is getting back to normal for Brennan

They haven't really had a chance to talk in a while.

But Hannah's classes are in start-to-wind-down-for-the-break mode.

And Brennan's clearly not working on a case.

So, no time like the present, right?

Brennan and Hannah have seen each other and talked since the event which turned out not to be Booth's funeral, of course.

But those encounters have had a rushed and busy quality to them. There's been little time for a sit-down conversation.

And there probably needs to be one.

"Hi Hannah." Brennan closes her book.

"How are you?"

"Desperately in need of coffee, and a break from Hilary, who has Met A Boy.

"How are you?"

"I'm good."

"Would you like to join me?" Brennan nods to the chair on the other side of the end table.

"We haven't had a chance to have coffee for a while."

Which Brennan regrets, even though it has been largely unavoidable.
