*Loki sees Richard and walks over*

I know you probably don't care, but there is a present under the tree for you. I just wanted to let you know. I'll go now.

*Loki walks back over to his table and buries himself in the book. It's to hide the sadness on his face*

Richard sighs and fetches his present. Hesitantly, he walks over to Loki.

"Thank you, Loki. Happy Christmas."

He fidgets.

"Look. He loves you. So....I'm probably going to have to learn to deal with you.........truce?"

He holds out a hand.

*Loki's face brightens and he has the urge to hug Richard, to forget all of this, but he restrains himself and simply shakes his hand and nods*

Truce. Care to join me?

She doesn't know who Loki is (which may or may not be a good thing, considering the things she's heard attributed to that name), but since there's not many people around and its Christmas, she waves at him all friendly-like.

*He sees the girl over the top of his book and smiles and waves at her*

At the response, she chirps cutely.

"Happy holidays!"
