Late October is not the warmest time of year in Sanq, a country that's not known for blistering temperatures in any case. Thus when Sally enters the bar, she's quick to push the doors shut once again against a blast of icy wind

It will no doubt be an extremely flattering picture, given that Sally's mouth is full and she's in mid-noodle-slurp. Hey, she's off the clock now. There's nothing in her job description about being charming and refined all the time! And if Maes thinks this is bad, he should see her when there's a football game on the telly. "Ah, is that why you dressed up for the occasion?" he asks, taking the offered seat. "Just for little old me?"
Sally grins and bops him lightly on the nose with one finger. 'Well, let's say that you made getting all dressed up today worth it. I had to pull some undercover security duty at an important formal luncheon for some foreign dignitaries, since the Z-man is out of the country for a couple weeks. Important international trade discussions, and we don't want anyone getting smart ideas about what to do with the bigwigs.'
Another bite of lunch and another grin. 'You're a lot more fun than they are, that's for sure.'
