She's distracted when she steps out her front door. It's a balmy morning, even at this early hour, and it looks like it might rain later on. Ever since yesterday, she's been racking her brain for something she can have Sam come by and fix up in her schoolhouse. Wondering if she can find a way to see him again today had kept her up half the night.
But when she pauses on her way down the front walk and blinks, she sees she's not on her front walk at all. She's back.
In Milliways.
Part of her considers turning around and going right back out that door, but when she looks, the door isn't there. Her heart sinks as realization dawns. It had been at least a few months since the last time she was in Milliways, which, to be honest, was partly on purpose. Now she can't leave.
She's casting nervous little glances around the room as she walks up to Bar and carefully leans against her gleaming surface. "M-miss Bar?"
'Welcome back, Miss Katherine. :)'
Katherine smiles, letting out a soft sigh of resignation. "Thank you, Miss Bar. It's good to see you again," she says, and it isn't even a lie. "Could I be a little adventurous today, and bother you for a bowl of rock candy?"
A large bowl of the requested sweets pop up in front of her, and she settles herself down to catch up with the place, surprised when a letter materializes under the bowl in front of her.
