There's gunfire and explosions galore when the door opens, and squelchy rains of red things flying past. Small wonder that the Medic lets out an expletive of relief when he realizes where he's found himself all of a sudden. "Frau Bar," he says, doing his best to unshoulder his backpack and medigun, "I vonder if I might have some antiseptic und a ( Read more... )

John's back reading at a table by the Window again, and when he sees the Medic sit down with the bandages, he gets mighty curious.

"You ok, there, sir? I can heal that up much quicker than some bandages and antiseptic can... even if you are a doctor."

"Hm?" The Medic looks up. "I didn't know zey had healers here. Are you on ze staff, or an independent operator?"

He's surely not dressed like a RED operative, which is the Medic's idea of a good th ing.

"Independent, I suppose; I wasn't aware that they had a medical staff here. It's sort of an... ingrained skill, if you will."

Nope, John picked neutral colors; harder for people to see you that way.

"I found ze infirmary on a prior visit. None of ze staff, chust ze rooms," says the Medic. "By all means, please. Zis I should like to see."

He's got the syringe gun and the bonesaw under his coat if things go wrong, anyway.

Xaldin tosses a slightly glowing green bottle on the Medic's table. "Potion." he says mildly, "Completely safe for humans."

The bottle gets an extremely thoughtful look. "A bit like ze pill bottles, zen," he murmurs. "I don't suppose you know vot's in it?"

He's always looking to expand his education.

There is a moment of thoughtful silence, then Xaldin shrugs, "Potion. Moogles make them, and I try very hard not to annoy Moogles with too many questions. They're too useful."

"Fair enough," says the Medic, although he does point the medigun's nozzle in his own direction before opening the bottle. If he has some sort of bad reaction he'll be able to lean over and pull the handle before it gets too far.

Needless to say, there is no bad reaction.

"That looks rather messy."
Whether she means the battle (it's... rather louder of one than what she's seen before, but still clearly a battle) or the man's injuries is anyone's guess. Cata is, however, watching his work with the bandages with a certain amount of interest.
The Medic's color-conscious mind may note she's wearing rather a lot of black.

The Medic glances up from swabbing out a long grazing line along his left forearm. "All in a day's vork, Frau," he says, almost cheerfully. "Und you should see ze ozzer guy."

"Ah. A professional hazard, then?" She's not unfamiliar with the concept, though the professional hazards she's encountered before aren't quite the same kind of bloody. (Less projectiles, for one thing.)
His accent's a bit difficult to follow, at first, but it's... interesting.

"Indeed! Vhen you vork for a company zat builds in places no vun else is villing to go, you haf to expect a little disaster now und again," says the Medic. "You get used to it after a vhile. I vonder, could you pass me zat roll of bandage just over zere?" It's about to roll off the table.
