A young lady of indeterminate age marches down the stairs, ramrod straight. Even accounting for the combat boots, her footfalls clank just a little louder than they should.

She makes her way to the bar, excitingly.

Logan's sitting at a table with a beer, as usual, when he spots the girl heading across the bar.

His eyes follow her and don't move when she stops. He's not usually this obvious when he's watching someone, but there's several things wrong with this picture. He's also never been one to have a problem with offending anyone.

Especially robots.

When she reaches the bar, Cameron stops. She stands perfectly stand for a moment, and then turns to gaze back at him.

Her movements aren't jerky. They are unusually unselfconscious for a teenage girl, especially one with posture that would stand up (har) in boot camp.

Logan notices all those little things about her, movements, scent and especially the way she holds herself.

He wouldn't normally give a damn about these things here, he'd take notice and keep tabs on her while she was around, but would be content to let her have her space as long as she stayed out of his.

Only problem is. She kinda looks like someone he knows and in his experience a robot looking like someone you know isn't a good thing.

So he keeps his eyes on her. It's not a staring contest, it's an assesment and a wait to see what she's going to do.

She mostly smells like human flesh -- flesh, and sweat, and salt, and everything else a person smells like. Underneath is the faint tinge of metal, undetectable to somebody without Logan's nose.

Technically speaking, she's a cybernetic organism.

She doesn't move -- just stares back at him, calm but alert. Measuring. They're still a good distance apart from each other; if he looks closer, he may notice that she's not identical to anyone in the bar, only loosely alike in facial type.

X watches her from her own perch at the bar.

And eventually--

"Hello."

Beat.

"You are still here?"

Cameron glances at her.

"Yes," she says, with a trace of confusion.

It seems self-evident to her.

X offers a slight shrug.

"Sometimes people leave."

Beat.

"It is okay."

Her head turns further, without any assistance from her shoulders.

"What is?"

That posture--to say nothing of the clank--catches the attention of a woman at the bar; she looks up from her plate of pasta.

"Nice boots."

Cameron turns her head swiftly. She doesn't look startled; she also doesn't look like she minds that the motion was too quick for dignity.

"Thank you," she says.

Mary Anne does her best not to look startled in turn.

"You new around here?"

She considers this carefully.

"I don't know."

The newcomer gets a strange look from Chell as her footsteps clank. Her first thought is heel springs, which would maybe? be possible, even with the boots. Aperture Science is very skilled like that.

She doesn't say anything as the girl comes near her, but rather watches, surreptitiously, while the girl comes up, as she takes another bite of pasta.

Cameron is scanning the room -- both literally and figuratively -- as she moves, and her gaze sweeps over Chell.

She stops at the bar, and looks at it.

Maybe she should order food.

She sees the movement, and feels the eyes pass over her. As much as she tries not to show it, she shivers slightly at the eyes.

Surely that was just her imagination?

Surely this small girl is not GLaDOS. Surely.

When Chell is dying, Cameron will be still alive.

"I would like something to eat," she informs the bar, not flat enough to be a monotone, but calm enough to come close. Firmly: "Please."

Ben's never seen her before and her scent is... he's not sure. But then again he's not used to most of the scents within the bar. It's why he stays outside of them. She's loud. That much he does know.

So this would be a genetically empowered super soldier with feline DNA watching Cameron. She's caught his attention. Whether that's good or not is a whole other story. Some might even say it's bad to catch a broken soldier's attention.

Especially one that's part feline.

Cameron isn't bothered by soldiers. (Cats, on the other hand -- cats are best avoided. Animals tend to dislike Terminators.)

She is concerned by staring strangers, though. When her habitual scan (non-literal) of the room lands on Ben, she stops, and watches.

He's not a full animal. Just has the DNA of one. Either way... he purrs, he growls... And it isn't like he's a common house cat. More of the wild variety.

Those hazel eyes dialate getting a closer look at the girl before him. He doesn't so much as move a muscle though. As for her scan... she might find him different than most humans. Really depends on if the scan can go as far as DNA.

Right now she's just looking.

Well, looking a lot. With minimal blinking.

Someone is gonna have to make a first move. Cameron seems unwilling to step up to the plate.
