Suzi slips in a little bit later, backwards, waving a dust rag in a threatening manner.

Sometimes Mother is really annoying.

"Hi, Whistler." she calls out as she drops (jingle-jingle-jingle) into a seat next to him.

Whistler lifts his head and grins. "Hey, Suzi," he says. "Sorry about that. You-know-who was getting right up my nose."

"I got in here with a dust-rag." Suzi agrees, sliding into his lap and resting her head on his shoulder comfortably. He can read around her. "I don't mind."

"Good. He keeps muttering about missile bases and secret projects. I think I'm going to ask Crease if they changed the chemical content of his breakfast cereal or something." As he briefly nuzzles her neck he adds, "How's your studying going?"
