Dan doesn't move from his chair -- he's got no reason to, since he's close enough already to see the scars on that man's face, the streaked color across his lips, the way his hair curls ever-so-slightly as it hangs down beside his face. The dark eyes remind him of someone.
But he does nod his head in the direction of the cell, a greeting.
See the old guy? Who looks just like Dracula Saurman Christopher Lee, but with an even bigger stick up his arse? He's noticed the cell, too, and wandered on over to investigate.
"Nice," says the thing that looks like a green puppet, mouth tentacles waving. It's sitting on a table not too far away, surrounded by a dozen or so boxes of the marshmallow critters.
"You'd think you get Peeps thrown at you all the time."
He also stays away from the cell, though the lighting draws his eye before he can suppress the reflex and look away. He passes it with his knuckles white on the handle of his coffee mug and the stiff posture of a man clearly paying a great deal of attention to the thing he wishes to appear as though he is ignoring. He sits as far away from it as he can and strikes up determined conversation with the nearest patron. It really doesn't matter who.
(He's watched for some time. But the Joker bores after a while, and if Cal's good at spotting things out of the corner of his eye, the next time he tries, he'll notice that the cell is gone.)
Alyx spots the newspaper out of the corner of her eye as she's walking through the Bar. She goes over. Peers at the front page. Thumbs through the rest of the paper.
"Somebody has waaaaaay too much time on his hands," she murmurs as she walks away again.

Now that is interesting.
(Dan's got a thing for prisons, you see.)

(So we're sure.)
Now, that one looks a mighty lot like Wayne.
Whether he is more or less of a crybaby, the Joker has yet to find out.
In the meantime, Dan gets a smile and a finger-wiggle.

Of sorts.
Something.
(He's not sure what, just yet.)

"You know..."
(Addressing an old friend.)
"You remind me of someone."

The Joker regards the other with something akin to bemusement, head just to one side.
"Lost something?"

That would be bringing a cell in; we can safely assume that he missed the last instance. "I get a very strong feeling that we have not met before."

"Just a strong feeling, or you know it?"

(It matched better than the green.)

The Peep is deftly caught.
(The head's crushed. Whether this is intentional or not, it's impossible to tell.)
(And it does match better than the green.)

"Who says Iiiiii don't?"
... He would really, really like a better look at that thing.
