She didn't relish death. That was why she'd been clinging to the furthest paths since the fall of Castle Oblivion. She and the girls had been skirting non-existence for a year and more at the fringes, each world they touched upon falling within hours. Most worlds fell soon after being connected; the fringes simply took that fact to an extreme.
Were she able, she would have been depressed, foot sore, heart weary after such a running, skittering lifestyle.
Given that she was a Nobody, well, she managed.
The dark paths opened into the woods, and Larxene stepped forth, knives already in hand as she anticipated the heartless. It was jarring to encounter stillness. Quiet. There was a moment of disbelief, then a cold, grim smile under hood as she sent out her lessers for recon.
