X's nostrils flare at the smell of the cigar, among other things.

She looks both startled and wary at the sight of John's new outfit, but she doesn't flinch back.

Not yet, anyway.

Her approach is cautious but not quite silent. Just in case.

Beat.

"Hello."

Is he going to start shooting?

The shotgun gets lowered, but the smile (though it's not all that nice of a smile) doesn't waver.

"Hello."

X is not good at evaluating smiles.

It shows.

"You will not shoot people here?"

"Wasn't planning on it," he said as he put the shotgun to his side. He rolled a shoulder, getting the feel for a body again and one that was dressed pretty funny took even a little longer than the usual switch from old to new. This one's old, but the leather's new.

Lissar is just stuck in a long white gown. With rhinoceros hair on it, but whatever. She tilts her head at the entry and watches.

He lowers the gun before looking over at her thoughtfully.

"Nice dress."

It's no more or less than a compliment to the garment. Well, part greeting.

"Nice button." Lissar says with a shake of her head, "Good day." but she doesn't say his name, because the last time they spoke he was hiding.

"Good day," and he tips an invisible hat her way.

"The bar playing games today or something?"

The shotgun is lowered (apparently, the costume came with a pose) and the grin (which is part John and part whatever dressed like this normally) chomps around the cigar.

He throws off a nod to the barman.

Then he heads for a booth and starts looking for a rat.

'In need of a drink' is about as much of an understatement as 'outside the window = boom'.
