The monster is being Eyed by a blue-skinned man in a British police uniform.

"Look who's talking."

The Snorklewacker raises an eyebrow, but, hey, he is, as mentioned, a huge purple polka-dotted monster and is in no position to judge.

He chuckles. "Yes, of course, sir, but that's my job. Although I suppose it's the job of this place, too..."

Raised eyebrow. "What is?"

"Why, startling people! I wouldn't be a very effective nightmare if I were boring, now would I?"

"The place or the style?" a woman in pink asks.

After all, having never met this strange (yet undeniably charming looking) purple creature, she doesn't know if he's talking about the bar's appearance behind his door or the bar's appearance compared to how it usually looks.

"The style, if it's the same place I think it is." And the overall layout does seem to fit, as does the population density (as it were).

"Ah, so you've been to Milliways before then?" she asks with a smile.

"A few times, yes. Fascinating place! Such interesting anxieties the people here have!"

The Snorklewacker is, oddly enough, familiar to Villiers.

After his last encounter with the thing, he remembers. He remembers far too well, in fact.

And so he sidles in, eyeing him carefully.

"...hello."

The Snorklewacker beams at him and, since he's wearing one, tips his hat. "Oh, hello, sir! And how are you this evening?"

"And a good day to you as well," he replies, for it never hurts to be polite.

"That was one of your Anxieties, of course!" He grins. "No one ever has that one at home. We're all quite comfortable with our fictionality."
