"'M not worried, it's just weird."

But that reminds him... "Oh, by the way, I was talking to Belar a little while ago, an' he said his brother's function is helping women have babies." (The mun is sure this is a gross oversimplification, and an unfortunate double entendre besides.) "He said he could maybe talk to him, if you need help with anything."

Oh, dear. He hasn't upset her, has he?

"'Cause sometimes when you talk about the baby you look kinda worried," he jabbers, "an' Belar's brother's a god, well, of course he is, Belar's one too, an' if he can help with User babies I bet he can help with sprite babies too 'cause we're like another level down, an' you prob'ly don't need any help anyway but just in case you do Belar said he could ask. That's okay, right?"

No, just bewildered her.

She was not expecting her little brother to nose around about her pregnancy issues.

"That alright...I'll talk to Belar about that, the next chance I get."

He wasn't nosing, just taking advantage of an opportunity that presented itself.

He smiles. "Cool. He said his brother's mostly busy with his people at home but he could at least give some tips if you need any." Not that Dot often does, about anything, but hey, if an expert's available...

"I'll be sure to ask if anything comes up Enzo, thanks for worrying."

Really...it's not the pregnancy part that's worrying. Lots worse stuff can happen during the birth.

"Y'welcome. I bet you won't need it, but if you do," shrug, "it's his format."

Hey, he never specified which part. not his fault He's not clear on the details, not his fault but he really doesn't want there to be any chance of a repeat of all his fault Mom.

...Aww.

Dot leans over out of the booth to give Enzo a hug. "Hey. When we get within a minute of the due date, you can help decorate the baby's area if you want."

He hugs her back.

"Alphanumeric! Where's the baby's area?"

Translation: You ain't givin' it my room, are you?

"We're going to be setting up in a corner of my room, it'll save trips down the hall."

Translation: She's going to fuss non-stop once the baby is born.

"That makes sense."

He contemplates for a moment, then starts to giggle. "So we're gonna redecorate, like, one corner of the room?"

Nursery wallpaper might clash a bit with the overall decor.

That's what windows and mobiles are for silly.

And we never said it would be a very big thing.

"We'll work on turning the guest room into a nursery to play in later."

Mobiles, the mun admits, could work with Dot's taste in art. Something suitably Calder-esque...

"Coolness." His room is safe!

Actually, knowing Dot's business sense, the mun is slightly surprised she didn't rent it out.

With a constant door to Milliways there? And her sex life? And the pregnancy?

Ahahaha. Dot likes her privacy.

"Just send me any idea you might have while you're studying at the Academy." Dot smiles. "You might even find some good idea around the supercomputer."

"Okay!"

And if you're really lucky, he won't let his roommates help.
