A dark-haired head peers round the Door, several feet lower than it has done previously.

Or will do some day.

Or both at the same time.

It seems that the youngest son of the Gisborne family has found a suitable hiding place for the afternoon.

Will is quiet and thinking about what he needs for his trip with Kate when he spots the little boy and smiles,

"Lad, where are ye goin'?"

"Where in England are ye from?"

For now, Will is not a giant and so entirely innocently, Guy answers.

"Gisborne."

He only knows the name of his father's estate, but for him it's good enough.

[will_scarlett]

Now Will does blink a bit and takes a sip of tea to hide his surprise,

"Oh aye, I've ne'er been there. Do ye like it?"

There is a smile on Guy's face as he nods.

"Mama and papa are there."

He pauses as if he has forgotten something.

"And Hugo and Alys and Eleanor. And there are horses and dogs and chickens."

This is perhaps the largest burst of speech anyone may get out of Guy all day.

Will smiles down at him, he's just a young lad after all,

"Sounds a marvelous place. Do ye like to ride?"

[landlesslord]

"Not allowed."

He wants to. Desperately.

"Papa says I am not big enough."

There is a concerned looks on his face now.

"Hugo says the horses will eat me."

"Sure they won't an ye'll be big 'nough soon."

[landlesslord]

"Really?"

[will_scarlett]

"Oh aye, course ye will, proper lad like ye will soon be a great rider."

[landlesslord]

"With my own horse?"

It is a hopeful question.

[will_scarlett]

"Aye, I'm sure ye'll get one someday."

[landlesslord]

Horse!

There is a delighted grin that reveals one missing tooth amongst the twin rows of pearly whites.

Guy does not intend to replace it with a set of jewelled teeth though.

Will can't help but grin back at that,

"Sure ye could e'en do some ridin' 'ere an surprise e'eryone with what ye know."

[landlesslord]

"On a real horse? Not the wooden kind that Alys has?"

[will_scarlett]

"Oh aye, tis stables 'ere."
