Some time during the afternoon, two completely different people, upon noticing that the bar had been unmanned for quite some time, came to the exact same conclusion and had the exact same solution

Mia was thinking.

And thinking and thinking and thinking.

And all of that thinking made her realize that she wouldn't mind a drink right about now.

So there's a still glum but not as glum as before Guildmaster approaching the bar.

"Any drink on fire?" she reads.

The fact that there's a little bit of amusement in her voice, even if it's only a tiny trace, is a good sign.

"What do you recommend?"

Her face shows sympathy for his plight, even if he was the one who ran off.

"I'm sorry to hear it."

She fiddles with her thumbs a little.

"It's only been a couple of days, though. Do you suppose there's hope?"

"Don' see why not." He said with a shrug, "T'ough I suppose it all d'pends on y'track record wit' arguments."

[gorgonfondness]

"Well, we've been through some pretty bad ones before, and always managed to get back together in the end. He can be so-"

She pauses.

"Well actually, it might be easier to understand if you have ever met Draco Malfoy before."

Both his brows arched a little at that, followed by holding a hand at roughly Draco's height, "Bout so tall? Blonde?"

"Add a magic wand and a sneer and that's him. He set up a Valentine's supper for us and it didn't go well."

He cleared his throat, looking just a little unsettled.

Not uncomfortable, really, but unsettled, "We've met. Briefly."

[gorgonfondness]

"You sound like a lot of people that have met him."

[thiefprinceremy]

There was a small, amused huff, "Not goin' lie, we had fun, didn' know he was engaged at t'time though."

He hadn't been, but Remy didn't know that, "So, uh, if y'feel any sort've burnin' need t'deck me for it, feel free, jus' gimmie a bit've warnin' first and, uh, not t'face?"

[gorgonfondness]

Beat.

"Okay, when did this happen? I wasn't engaged to him until last October here."

She's well aware that her boyfriend has slept with a lot of people.

He relaxed once more at that, "Oh, s'been longern' that. Moren' a year now I t'ink."

He shrugged, "Wasn' too long after I got t'job upstairs."

[gorgonfondness]

She almost giggles.

"Don't worry about it. I knew before I said yes that he's...been around. Know how I met him? Through his last boyfriend."

He almost winced at that, but he was still smiling all the same, "S'got to be a bit weird."

[gorgonfondness]

"It's weird meeting all the people he's slept with," she admits. "You would be the fourth one I've met."

Not counting herself, of course.

There was a slight browarch at that. Apparently someone was trying to horn on on his 'world's biggest manwhore' crown.

Oh whatever, he didn't really care that much.

"S'quite impressive." And then, with a small smile, "S'got t'be a bit unsettlin' f'you though. In which case I apologize."

[gorgonfondness]

"It's...something I've come to accept about his past. I'm not even sure how I accepted it. Probably because I didn't think of him that way at first. He had his boyfriend, I had a sweetheart at home, I thought at most we would just be friends."

Her own eyebrows briefly raise for a moment.

"Amazing how some things change."
