Lilly's been out of the bar for a couple of weeks, and okay, she forgot to leave a note, but it was an emergency. (Well, it was making umbrella drinks with Meg in the suite one night and deciding they would taste better on an actual beach. Totally an emergency ( Read more... )

X has not seen Lilly for a while.

This may explain why she slips across the bar toward her.

"Hello."

Beat.

"You are drinking."

Lilly grins.

"No I'm not."

She waves a hand at the glass.

"I'm attempting to recreate a tropical ambiance. Only without the tropics, so... it's tricky."

"Oh."

X takes a look around the bar.

"I do not think it is humid enough."

"Yeah."

Lilly sighs.

"Oh well. If I get desperate, I'll head for the inlet."

She takes another sip of the daiquiri.

"So how've you been, Joe?"

Inyri drops onto the stool next to her, and is silent for a moment.

Then: "That looks tasty."

"I am, aren't I?" Lilly says solemnly.

"The tan helps."

Inyri snorts and smiles. "Okay, well, I can't deny that."

She lets her smile turn more into a smirk as she winks over at Lilly.

Lilly returns the wink, looking faintly smug.

"You're looking a lot better yourself, Inyri. I'm guessing you made a full recovery while I was gone?"

And it wasn't long before she had company, "'llo bosslady, ain' seen y'around in a while."

Didn't mean she hadn't been around of course, just that he hadn't seen her, "How's kicks?"

"Hey, Magnolia."

Lilly smiles at him.

"Not too bad, thanks. I took an, uh, impromptu vacation. Nothing blew up, right?"

He shrugged, "Not'in' I know 'bout anyway. So f'it did totally wasn' my fault."

And besides, he knew better than to blow things up while on the clock. Y'know, unless someone was into that kind of thing.

His smile went crooked, "And b'sides, y'know we're a hardy bunch, we can handle a couple've explosions no problem, s'just business as usual, non?"

"Totally business as usual. I mean, I'm never going to use the line 'explosions of pleasure' as like, a marketing thing, but at the same time..."

She shrugs.

"Not that far off the truth. You guys are good."

Speaking of emergencies here comes someone who is having one now. Sort of.

The infirmary is rather crowded and Bill doesn't feel his injuries measure up (and doesn't want to go there anyways) so he approaches the bar instead.

He has a gash on his forehead that's bleeding and one on the back of his head that's a bit harder to see with his hair. His arm is also bleeding and he winces when he walks and sits.

He takes a seat on a stool and doesn't take notice of the lady nearby just yet as he grabs napkins to try and clean his head.

Lilly glances over.

"Hey, Ma- oh, sorry. Guy who looks like Mal. You look even more like Mal when you're bleeding."

She eyes the napkins dubiously.

"Need some bandages?"

Considering she was once sorta his wife for a moment, it's only right to offer.

Bill glances over and nods, "Yeah I...you!"

Bill knows you! He points to illustrate this fact.

Then he realizes he's pointing with a hand holding bloody crumpled napkins so he stops and tries to get clingy napkin bits off his hand.

"Where's our kid?" He mutters in a not happy way.

Lilly grins.

"Aw, you remembered. No worries, she's with her brother and my actual husband is baby-sitting them. And, uh, seriously? Shouldn't you be asking for a doctor instead of trying to find children to bleed all over?"
