Ace is humming.

Ace is humming off key and softly enough that she probably can't be heard from too far away, in a distracted fashion that suggests that she doesn't consciously realize she is humming, which is too bad, because if she did, she'd stop. She is also happily (and tunelessly) connecting wiring from one random metal stud to another in ( Read more... )

Incoming hyperactive green kid!

"Ooh, whatcha makin'? Is it a weapon or a media player or a toy or a communicator? Hey, cocoa!"

"It's a little boxy tool that can turn into all kinds of stuff and do scanning and communications and energy blasts and things."

"Then that'd be a nope." In her 'verse that's a sonic screwdriver, and Ace doesn't have one of those yet. Tragically. She has so many cabinets to hang.

Ah, but can a sonic screwdriver turn into a hangglider?

"What, then? You said it's got a communicator function?"

Why would it need to?

"Yup." Says Ace, nodding as she strips the end of the wire she's teased out.

Well, say you're blasted a hundred pixels into the air by a tetchy Codemaster...

"Audio or video?"

Then you'd just jump down - Ace can certainly manage part of a computer screen.

"Both."

Technically, anyway.

Not when a pixel is defined as roughly equal to a cubit...

Enzo nods. "What's the weapon function? Has it got more than one?"

nitro_is_ace February 11 2008, 07:14:12 UTC
"Yup." There's persuasion, and then there's... not persuasion. Totally two different weapons, that.

"Is it an energy weapon?"

Is it bigger than a breadbox?

"Could be, could be not." Yes, she can do this all day. No, he's not going to get details. If he manages to make it to adulthood, he can try again.

He already has done! He could go fetch Matrix...

He pouts. "You're no fun."

nitro_is_ace February 11 2008, 14:56:55 UTC
And Ace would care about Matrix why? She arches an eyebrow at him, eloquently.

"M'not here, bucko, t'entertain you."

Proof of adulthood! *points to icon* See?

Enzo blows an idle raspberry, then decides to pay more attention to the actual process of what she's doing. "Is that how they make computers?"

Reply

nitro_is_ace February 11 2008, 18:29:07 UTC
Doesn't matter. Ace'd be more annoyed that the said adult couldn't control his own sprog.

And for the raspberry, he doesn't get a reply to his question. Ace sees no reason to encourage rudeness. And wire-stripping is only so interesting, really.

That's not his dad, that's him. (And, truly, Enzo Matrix version 1 has enough trouble controlling himself, let alone his copy.)

Sorry, it's the sugar. But he's not going to leave this question alone. "Is that a kind of computer? D'you know if computers in your world have sprites in 'em?"
