*Meg's just gotten back from vacation with Lilly. Thus, she looks cheerful, refreshed, and vaguely tropical in costume when she pops into the bar and heads over to the counter for a cup of coffee.*

Meg!

*There's no pause for thought between seeing her and calling her name.*

*Meg turns, blinking, and then brightens.*

Salut, Andrew!

- you look twitchy.

Oh, that's only 'cause I ... kind of am. Um.

Hi.

So we, uh, we've found out what Wolfram & Hart is doing with the Scythe.

Here's someone he's seen before a time or two.

Currently, she's drifting past his table, her concentration firmly fixed on the bowl of spice-coated peanuts in her hands.

*He doesn't quite register River's presence; he's scanning the crowd for someone else at the moment.*

River moves through his line of sight, and one step past.

And then her steps stutter abruptly, and her head turns sharply towards him.

*That sharp movement does catch his attention, and he turns to blink at her.*

...River. Hi.

Tom's just set his scotch down when Andrew arrives. He really ought to get back to the House, as there are several matters to attend to there.

But he can spare the time to say hello. "Andrew, I haven't seen you for a while. How have you been?"

Tom! Uh -- busy. Pretty busy.

How about you?

"Likewise. In fact," he takes out a pocket watch, which he has taken to carrying more regularly, "I'd like to speak with you, but I must get back to the House. I hope your busyness is the good kind, and not the kind fraught with danger and/or adventure."

Yeah, um, actually more of Type B there.

*Andrew looks a touch grim.*

We've got some trouble back home.

Merriman has been in and out of the bar, most often to collect a quick cup of tea or a glass of wine and leave almost as soon as he has finished it. But even at a distance, from his position at the bar, the nervous, pent-up energy surrounding Andrew Wells is almost palpable.

The cup of tea served to him gets a thoughtful glance. After a moment's pause for consideration, he picks it up, carries it over to where Andrew is sitting, and deposits the cup on the table with a soft clink of fine china.

'If you will pardon the assumption, Mr Wells, you appear to need this more than I do.' His mouth has a wry sort of quirk to it, but there is a touch of concern in his expression.

*Andrew blinks up at him.*

Professor Lyon? Hi. Thanks.

*That last is rather fervent, as he reaches for the tea.*

'Good to see that you are not of the ranks of the die-hard coffee drinkers in this place,' Merriman replies. 'Then again, stereotype that I am, my biases on the matter are only to be expected.'

A slight tilt of his head, before he adds:

'I also have aspirin, if that might be of further help.'

It might. Though maybe I should save that for when I really need it.

*He breathes in the steam from the tea, takes a large sip, grimaces slightly as he swallows.*
