Technically, Valerie's supposed to be on waitress duty tonight.

But she didn't sleep well last night -- not well at all -- and she's not exactly in the mood

Corrie had been staying by the fire. Warm, warm, please stay warm, but sometimes...

Well, she was torn between tempting sleep, and ordering another cup of coffee. But she isn't the only one staring out into space, and neither is Valerie.

Of course, actually asking if Valerie had had a dream was, well.

Corrie was watching her, and thinking about it.

It takes a few minutes for Valerie to notice. When she does, she double-takes, and then gives Corrie a weak smile.

"Oh -- we've met, haven't we? Ah, Corrie, wasn't it?"

"Um, yeah. When I first arrived, sorta had hysterics at you..." The accent is fairly unmistakable, as is the red hair. Corrie does look better, though. Still a bit pale, still a bit thin, but no longer quite so post-coma.

"You're...Valerie."

"It was understandable."

She nods. "That's right. You've settled in?"
