[ooc: this is a ninja tag leading to pretty much immediate slowtime, but couldn't resist tagging.]

There is someone leaning over the divider from the bench behind Ramon's.

It sounds like she's humming--The Birthday Song, to be precise.

[OOC: Works for me!]

'Funny,' he says, drily.

Yes, he recognises her voice. No, he doesn't celebrate his birthday. Not often, anyway.

'Want some cake?'

"Hey, at least I wasn't actually singing."

She climbs over the divider and drops onto the seat. "Sure thing. Pass the fork."

'Help yourself.'

He pushes the fork towards her and lights himself a cigar.

'What have you ben up to?'

"Mmm, should I ask the years or just say Happy Birthday?" That would be a quiet purr of a voice, speaking Mexican Spanish. The voice's owner is a couple years older than he last saw her (not that it is easy to tell), bustier, but still seeming to run around in jeans and demure blouses.

Almost a waste, really.

He shrugs languidly.

'Ask if you like, makes no difference to me.'

He runs his eyes over her for a moment, then pushes the cake in her direction.

'Want some?'

'Help yourself.'

He pushes his dinner plate aside and unscrews the top off the bottle of tequila, completely ignoring the bow.

'Where've you been? Haven't seen you for a while.'
