So, on one hand, Medusa has a (very tall) cousin and two sisters threatening to meet the boy. Of these, she is more worried about the sisters and their very-much-not metaphorical threat to eat said boy should he break her heart.

There may be an Atton hovering nearby, looking a touch awkward. He'll probably go over in a moment. Or two. Maybe three.

"Atton! Isn't my sword lovely?"

"It is very shiny." Atton agrees, solemnly. Being spoken to apparently prompts him to wander over. "Er, hi. Where'd you get the sword?"

"Pappos," she says, promptly.

There is the sound of an equine snort.

Bright blue eyes are fixed on the Gorgon's wings, with interest.

Medusa had been aware of her, dimly. Tastesmellseetheheat, but she needed to hone the edge of the sword, and that was what was taking most of her attention.

The snort didn't make her jump, but the whetstone certainly slipped from her small, brown hands.

The last time she'd heard that sound, she'd been with her son.
