Her holographic form doesn't quite show up. In fact, it's just the disembodied voice. "You seem lost." It was a simple observation. There was a lot that she'd observed in the time she'd been brought to this strange place.
Chad forced a laugh before taking a drink from the bottle. "Well. Building a body isn't exactly as easy as programing something. You are a very picky program, did you know that?"
Still he laughed, though, as he reached out for one of the top papers. "Well what I need is to figure out the quickest and easiest type of synthetic skin that would be better suited for you."
"Paperwork?" The voice, a quiet purr of a voice, sounds sympathetic. It also belongs to a rather attractive Mexican woman, dressed in an expensively nice suit with her hair tumbling around her shoulders.
Kap opened his mouth to speak, turning to look at the speaker and pausing slightly. Whatever sort of witty remark he would have made fades as he lets a sheepish smile slide across his face. "Yeah..in a sense. More like research and development."
Holding up one of the top documents entitled 'Sensitive Synthetic Skin in the Works for Prosthetic Arms' Chad gave a little rueful smile. "I guess you can call it a hobby of sorts..or a job one. Seems like it could go either way at this point."
Setting the thick doctument back down the former officer reached for the beer bottle. "If it's not to dull or boring I could buy you a drink instead.."
The sudden sharp voice from behind him caused the jumpy computer tech to give a slight jump. He wasn't expecting anyone to come up on him like that..with Matt being back from the Hive, well, jumpy was Kap's middle name.
"Er.." reaching over to fix the stack he had almost knocked over he glances back to where Barbara is at. "Research on various forms of higher tech synthetic skin."
Chad frowned. "Define what you mean by 'to what end' and I may be able to tell you? I don't know much about the stuff so I'm sort of self teaching as I go.."

Sliding onto a barstool Kaplan reached out for the beer bottle, opening the little mini computer to pull up the blueprints the Red Queen had designed.
