Stretched out with a cup of good coffee and a copy of The Great Gatsby (not the one she received for Christmas, mind), Madolyn's in a fairly good mood. That doesn't stop the odd feeling that's been nagging at her since a few days ago.

Finally, she gives in.

Thus is the way things work: Cyrus hasn't seen Madolyn in a while. So naturally, he sees her now, as she's broken out in song. His first thought is how weird it is. His second is that she's found someone. Which shouldn't bother him, since he wasn't sure he was looking to find anyone himself. But of course it does.

She looks probably a little less mortified than she ought to be.

"It's Milliways!" comes her cheerful answer.

"Long time no see. How've you been?"

"I've been reasonably good. And yourself?" That answer makes as much sense as anything else, around here.

"Well enough. Although, I haven't been caught up in anything particular noteworthy except perhaps the singing bug. Which I would have avoided if I'd thought it possible."
