There’s a Villiers in the bar. And a Le Chiffre. At a table, with plenty of room left over.

And both are nursing their respective drinks, a sleepy puppy curled at their feet.

Please bother them. Or else they’ll just snark the entire day through to no avail.

There's a Bond in the bar, too, but that's nothing special, seeing as how he's Bound. He stops by the table, giving Villiers a glance before turning to Le Chiffre. "One of your victims?"

Villiers blinks.

"Does everyone know you, around here?" he asks Le Chiffre after a moment. Really, it's kind of ridiculous. Most of the people he's talked to know the banker, and that's somewhat unnerving.

Le Chiffre peers up from his drink as the new arrival appears, raising an eyebrow to Bond before glancing at Villiers. It's so not surprising that James has something oh-so-witty to say, to which Le Chiffre answers, "You could say that. One of the more willing ones."

Oh, and he adds to Villiers questions with, "I like to keep connected with my surroundings. Villiers this is uh.. .. James.. and James this is Villiers."

"James Bond," he clarifies, holding out a hand to Villiers. "I hope he's been treating you well, under the circumstances."

Teja wanders by, axe over his shoulder.

"Greetings," he says to the man that he knows, Le Chiffre - once a drunk man on a sofa, now a sober man with a puppy and a sober young friend.

Teja wonders if the way they are sharing a table means anything. He's always come to expect such things, in this place.

Villiers looks up, almost coughs up his drink, and promptly looks away to take a hearty gulp of it.

Poor boy. Still not used to the sight of people in not-early-21st-century clothing. Especially with pointy things.

"Ah, Teja! How's death treating you?" Le Chiffre greets with a smirk and a nod of greeting towards the Goth.

There's a quick glance spared towards Villiers, just because the reaction amuses him, he's got to admit.

"Death is treating me better than I had expected," Teja says. "I have work to do, and people to talk to, and new ideas to ponder."

Momiji does not recognize this Villiers person.

He does not, in fact, even recognize Le Chiffre, at this point, because he's down on the floor smiling over the puppy. He's being nice enough not to poke at it, because, aw, it's sleeping.

...It's possible that the feet and knees of the poor people it's taken up residence next to are not thus exempt. They are neither asleep nor furry.

It takes a while for Le Chiffre to even notice that they have a new occupant nearby. And how the hell Momiji got there without him noticing is another thing, but perhaps Le Chiffre's just been too busy with drinking and annoying talking to Villiers.

When he does notice, it's with a slight start and a slow peering under the table.

".. Comfortable down there?"

The puppy doesn't have much to say on the matter at all, apart from a few twitches in his sleep.

Oh, look, it's a person.

Villiers mirrors Le Chiffre's peering with an arched eyebrow.

He smiles, though. Er, boy or girl? Blink. Probably boy. Still smiling, mind.

"Hello," he says cheerfully, albeit quietly enough not to wake the puppy.

Hey, he can be a stealthy rabbit, when he wants to! He's small and...quiet? inconspicuous? small?

"Mmhm!" Momiji nods at Le Chiffre, squirming out from underneath the table and grinning innocently at the pair.

"Hiya."

[ ooc; If you're still open to tags - slowtime fun? Feel free to ignore this. ]

Ella, having received new clothes from the bar, is currently drifting around in a light blue sundress and maroon scarf.

She stops upon noticing the dog, immediately dropping down to the puppy's level.

Having done so, she puts out a hand - asleep or not, it's better to make absolutely sure a dog's okay about being pet before doing so.

((OOC: Oh, it's fine, of course. Slowtime's good ;) ))

Hrm. A person has approached.

Villiers puts his head on the table, watching the newcomer put her hand out, and smiles to himself. "His name's Friedrich," he says quietly, perhaps a touch charmingly. "And don't worry, he adores absolutely everyone."

Le Chiffre eventually spares a glance to the newcomer from over the rim of his glass.

And promptly chokes on his drink.

Give him a minute and he might get over it. Or not. Because he'd recognise that woman anywhere.

She quickly looks up, smiling a little.

"He's adorable," she responds, before looking back down at the puppy and ruffling his ears.

However, there are introductions to be had, so she's soon standing up and brushing off her dress.

Before she can say anything, though, there's the problem of Villiers' companion choking. She offers Le Chiffre the closest thing to a handkerchief she has, which is..

..a scarf end.

"Are you quite alright?"

"Good grief, Le Chiffre, could it be? A human being is actually coming into social contact with you for an extended period of time without having vitriol hurled at him and having to run for the hills?"

Breezy, affectionate sounding, and trailing scarf tails, enter Darren Nichols, stage right, with drink and purpose.

Villiers looks up at the voice, bemused and starting to expect that sort of greeting whenever Le Chiffre's around.

He turns slightly to Le Chiffre, smirking. "It would seem you have reputation, darling," he says sweetly with a snort and a sip of his drink.

He'd recognise that voice anywhere. Sadly.

"Ah, Darren, an absolute pleasure to hear those melodic tones." There's sarcasm in that, pure and simple, but at least some look of welcoming.

"I've tried to be vitriolic, believe me, but it's yet to work. Any suggestions?"

"He's trying to scare you off. That means he must actually like you."

Darren sounds thrilled! Emotional connection!

"I didn't know he had it in him. Darren Nichols, a friend of the deceased." Head jerk in Le Chiffre's direction, and a hand extended for Villiers to shake.
