He is probably the kind of person for whom the comforts of religion hold not much solace; just like the Goth king walking outside the bar.

Teja discovers the blue man on the roof when he happens to look up, and quietly nods in greeting.

On the contrary. While his understanding of where he stands with the Church is rather vague, his faith itself... well he has gotten a bit quieter about it all, but there have been far too many blessings in his life for him to forget to be grateful. Even when those blessings are hard to see at a given moment.

Teja gets a nod back, and a smile.

"Greetings," Teja says. "Some people seem to like sitting high up -- in the rafters, on trees, or on the roof, in your case."

"Heh, ja. My mother used to joke that I was never so happy as when I was upside down." He illustrates this by curling off the roof to dangle down by his tail.

Molly's emo, today, and has gone outside to sulk. Christmas without your parents, even when it's the second and not the first and even when your 'family' is all here, is simply not the same ( ... )

Well we can't have that now can we? There's no bundling so tight that it can protect one from a well-tossed snow-ball.

*paff!*

Uh oh. There's a winter gremlin about!

"Hey!"

Molly whirls about, or at least she does so as best she can, looking around for the snowball-thrower.

Another one comes sailing by, but a moving target is harder to hit. Kurt isn't easy to see in the dark, his mutation wraps the shadows around him, but while sitting on a rooftop silhoetted by snow, that doesn't do him much good.

"Avast!" Because...the roof is like a boat, you see. And snow-balls are like canon-balls. And... you know what, it's a snowball fight, it doesn't have to make sense.

Down below Kurt may hear the sound of a dog barking, followed by the sight of a young rottweiler bounding happily through the snow. A small female dressed in orange and yellow, presumably the dog's owner, follows behind at a more sedate pace.

Malu rubs her arms briskly and wishes not for the first time that she was more adept at warming the air around her. True, she could have grabbed a coat from her closet, but Nhia had to go right now, so...

Slightly bored, she flexes one hand and watches as the wind blows a little bit of the snow into a small, cyclone-like flurry. Who says waterbenders get all the fun with this stuff?

There is a strange sound behind and to the side, something like *bamf*, and an already-warm coat drops around her shoulders. Its owner gives her a little smile.

"Guten abend, fraulein. It is a bit chilly to be out without a coat, even for one who can command the snow."

The sudden appearance of both voice and coat cause Malu to gasp and stiffen a little in surprise, before turning around to greet her good Samariten. His appearance takes her aback a little. But he lent her his jacket so he can't be bad, right?

"Th-thank you," she stutters; out of fright or the cold, who can say? Her hand reaches up and pulls the coat tighter around her frame.

"Bitte," he says, which from the tone means 'you're welcome.' He's wearing a sweater and...well looks like he was born wearing a fur coat anyway. "When you are ready to go back inside, just leave it at the bar."

There have not been many patrons outside, as of late, and I did not know why. I had peered inside the bar more than once since my arrival to see the adding of decorations whose purpose escaped me.

But perhaps I could ask this being on the roof? If he did not frighten at my approach, that is, though I had yet to encounter such a reaction from any patron.

Milliways must make them used to such things.

Being part of the Marvel Universe has made Kurt used to such things. He watches the dragon approach with no small amount of caution - BIG DRAGON! - but since there's no sign of aggression, he sees no cause for alarm.

"Hello there."

"Greetings," I answered, sending a ripple down my neck. To my amusement, I found that being on the roof put the Gedri at eye level. For once, I would not have a crick in my neck after speaking to someone.

"Not many have been outside as of late," I said in a way that made it a question.

"Ah, it is rather cold out for a lot of people, probably. And perhaps the busy time of year has something to do with it." If it helps, Kurt can stand up too. Standing up in the presence of a very large dragon seems appropriate.

"My name is Kurt Wagner. It's a pleasure to meet you."

In a somewhat similar fashion to that of the blue-tailed man, there comes yet another stranger strolling past the building in an attempt to expand his purview of the place. There's the sound of shoes crunching in the snow, and something else. A melody, not at all unlike a very old psalm, whistled between the gap in his front teeth.

It's Christmas, and Christmas is Gabriel's favourite time of year. It's the perfect occasion for singing the Lord's praise, and reminiscing.

"Ave Maria! Unbefleckt! Wenn wir auf diesen Fels hinsinken..."

A lowish tenor, untrained but not unpleasant, joins him from the roof. There was a time when he would simply have sung along in his head, but even without the welcoming nature of Milliways, Kurt had stopped hiding.

The song is only interrupted at the very end by a pearly string of laughter. "I had a feeling I'd get you to join me, son. Sooner or later."

Hands in his pockets, rocking on the balls of his feet, Gabriel spies up to the very rooftop. But, surely, he couldn't have known anyone was there, let alone that they'd know the song, or the words.

"Frohe Weihnachten, and my compliments on your singing." 'Merry Christmas', for those unfamiliar with the language.

Kurt lived around telepaths. And Wolverine who practically counted. People knowing where he was, and taking into account a place like Milliways, wasn't entirely surprising.

"Danke. Frohe Weihnachten. The virgin's song is not a common carol to hear in German, outside of my country." It is both an observation and a question.
