Maria Jackson is somewhat exuberant tonight, though her slight smile gives away very little of that inner anticipation and enthusiasm. She's managed to get all of her holiday shopping done, and is currently looking forward to said holiday, of course, along with the activities that accompany it

James grins as he takes the seat across from Maria. Unlike her, he's pretty much an open-book of enthusiasm.

"Hullo, Maria!" he says.

Maria hastily swallows her bite of cookie, a half-grin at the corner of her mouth.

"Hullo, James!" She mumbles out, at last swallowing. She can't help but notice the enthusiasm, and that does, oddly, delight her. But then, it's the season for it, at least in her world.

She gestures to the plate of cookies. "Help yourself."

Oooh.

He is never one to turn down cookies, so he takes one.

"It's almost Christmas here," he says, conversationally.

A slightly mischievous look crosses her face, though it's imbued with obvious excitement now.

"I know, it's great, isn't it? Have you got your door back?"

For some odd reason, she's almost hoping he doesn't, just for now, because then he might come back with her, and...that could be loads of fun.
