Ramon's had a lot on his mind lately, not that he'll probably admit it. It does explain the rather distant look on his face though, as he toys with a tequila in his booth.

Distractions may or may not be welcome, depending on what he thinks of you. But that shouldn't be a deterrent to anyone wanting to talk to him.

Here's a distraction! (And she's never deterred, even when she probably should be.)

Said distraction slides into the opposite side of his booth, smiling.

"You got enough there to share?"

'Always.'

He smiles a little bit and pushes his bottle over towards her. Always nice to talk to her. Well, nearly.

'How's it going?'

She takes a swig before answering.

"Going pretty good."

So long as she ignores that week she spent being twitchy in her room while Random was apparently saving the multiverse.

"How's things with you?"

Ramon just shrugs. He was plenty twitchy that week too but for different reasons and it hasn't really gone away. Again, for different reasons.

'Random's King.'

It's been four months since the day that Plourr's husband came home with a red mark where a gun barrel had been pressed to his forehead.

You don't forget a thing like that.

A snarled "Hey, Salazar," is all the warning that Ramon gets before Plourr unleashes a pounding left hook, the kind that's designed more to take somebody's head off than to raise a welt or protect one's hand.

The 'warning' goes against him too as he immediately looks to where it came from and so, catches the punch almost square in the mouth. Needless to say, there's a large shower of blood as Ramon's head snaps back and thuds into the wall.

He doesn't bother with stupid comments like, 'what the fuck?' or similar, though he's certainly thinking it. He's more concerned with who this is (the sudden blurred vision isn't helping with that) and more importantly, how the fuck can he get out of this corner? The only thing to be done at the moment is come out swinging, even though he's not quite sure what he's swinging at.

It's a wild swing, checked easily against one broad shoulder, and Plourr gives him a hand with getting out of that corner.

Namely, by grabbing his shirt, hauling him around, and slamming a fist into his jaw. In case that didn't unbalance him enough, a hard shove follows immediately.

If Ramon manages it, what he'll see is Plourr Estillo coming after him again with her sleeves rolled up, her hair pulled back, and her face set wild and furious.

He's only stopped from hitting the floor by a nearby table that conveniently gets in the way. It's survival instinct that stops him hesitating to try and regroup mentally; instead he just focuses on the figure bearing down on him and attempts to get upright.

'You!'

Oh fuck no. A woman? Ramon forces himself straight and raises his fists in readiness. He doesn't try and meet her advance. He's not suicidal.

[OOC: If you have time for another thread. :)]

There was a time when the first thing Chris would have done upon entering the bar was to scan to see if Ramon was there and where he was, just so she could avoid him. However, time has made her careless and as she sits at the table across from him, the engagement ring on her left hand has distracted her.

(Yes, she actually is thinking about how dreamy her boyfriend is and wondering what their wedding will be like.)

[OOC: Hell yeah! :D!]

Silly Chris! Because there's no way in hell he's going to pass up an opportunity to bug her, despite his last encounter with Jack. He's never too distracted for that. So his eyes flicker over her and whaddya know, that ring catches his eye too.

Hence, he's wearing a nice big smirk as he calls over,

'Long time no see, Chris. Though it looks like you've been busy.'

Most of him hopes that the guy is not Jack because that would obviously mean him getting dumped at some point.

And her dopey smile twists into a scowl at that voice. Instinctively, she rests her right hand over her left, though it's too late to hide the ring now. "Can't say it's a pleasure. I was hoping your absence was permanent."

'You wish, sweetheart.'

He lights a cigarette casually and jerks his head in the direction of her hand.

'Jack? Or some other lucky guy?'

The way he says it implies that he's using the word 'lucky' in the loosest possible terms.
