"I don't have a companion at the moment," she says, her eyes running along the datastreams flying across the screen on her 'pad, "and I take one rarely. Whereas the Doctor collects them like children's toys, I have a higher standard."
Had he not already known the sort of man the Doctor was, he wouldn't be thinking too highly of him now anyway.
"I would get considerably bored of having to stay with the same person for long periods at a time. Sometimes the best sort of company is your own," he considers with that smirk returning, finally making a move to approach just a little closer.
"Though the conversation can be a little lacking, at times. At least there's rarely a disagreement." Except for the times when you decide to argue with yourself, which can be quite often in Chiffre's world. Sometimes even his own company annoys him.
"Mathematics. Teaching it to children isn't exactly the level I tend to enjoy, but simply dealing with numbers is enough for now." And he'd have hardly believed he'd actually quite enjoy teaching kids a year ago.
