Nearby is a young girl, sipping slowly at a mug of hot cocoa, a change in her usual preference for tea. Being that she'd recently gone through the same disorienting experience herself, she wants to help in any way possible.

Calling gently to the man with the dog, she says, "You look a bit lost, mister." Of course, that's very likely an obvious statement, but she decides it's the best way to initiate conversation at the moment.

Roger nods a little, looking over and offering a wave.

"I believe I am. If you'd tell me where I am, I'd appreciate it greatly."

Pongo barks and sniffs.

Maria smiles widely at the dog when it barks, and obliges the man.

"You're in Milliways, sir. It's...well...it's a pub at the end of the universe. Rather weird to take in at first, I know."

Reaching out a hand, she says, "I'm Maria Jackson, by the way."

"It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Roger Ratcliff, and this is Pongo," Roger replies, taking her hand. He may be confused, but etiquette comes first.

"So, the end of the universe?" He seems to be deciding whether to be distressed or delighted.
