Will had a good day, its getting colder but he was able to get in some archery practice and work at the pells.

Now he's sprawled on the couch with some hot chocolate and various pastry goodies.

There's more then enough to share and he found an interesting book on American history in Kate's room, which he's reading in between watching people.

Hot chocolate being the drink of choice these days, Madolyn has a mug as well, with which she makes her way over to the couch, pulling up a chair.

"Hullo, Will. How've you been?"

"It is nice to have a fireplace here. It's not something you think you might find in a bar but it's quite practical. It's starting to get snowy in Boston, although as of yet it's mostly sleet."

[will_scarlett]

"Would be strange to think o'anyplace na 'avin' a 'earth but tis just my time I guess."

[madolyn_madden]

"Oh, right." Madolyn looks mildly embarrassed.

"Well, they're not necessary per say in my time, but they are nice to have around."

[will_scarlett]

"Oh aye, tis lovely to 'ave the fire though when got too cold in our 'ouse when I was a lad, I'd sneak into the bakery since the ovens were always warm."

[madolyn_madden]

Madolyn laughs. "My house was too far from the bakery for me to be able to do that. I just took all the comforters from around the house and made myself a sort of cocoon."

[will_scarlett]

"Well, the women o'the bakery would sometimes give me a bit o''xtra bread since my family 'as ne'er 'ad that much coin. But was lovely, could 'ear all the talk o'what was goin' on an if I 'id properly, wouldna get told off."

"It sounds lovely."

She takes another sip from her mug.

"Were there a lot of people where you lived?"

"My parents still live there an aye, we're just off the market square."

[madolyn_madden]

"I'd guess that's a convenient location?"

[will_scarlett]

"Well, aye, my father 'as a stall, ne'er made us more then just 'nough but tis still ours."

[madolyn_madden]

"What sorts of things do you stock?"

[will_scarlett]

"Odds an ends, whate'er we could find to sell. Tis why I started stealin' to 'elp us 'ave 'nough."

[madolyn_madden]

Madolyn nods.

"Well, I'm glad you can get by. So you don't have any siblings?"

[will_scarlett]

Will looks down into his drink, taking some long sips before replying,

"None that still live."

[madolyn_madden]

"Oh. I, I'm sorry."

Madolyn bites her lower lip, a guilty expression on her face.
