Miniver had wandered into the bar after work with the intention of getting a drink before Pickles got home back in LA. He'd gone over to the couch and flopped down in front of the fire, intending to wait for a rat to wander by. But it's been a loooong few days, and within minutes, he'd ended up dozing off ( Read more... )

If only Le Chiffre had a sharpie!

Luckily for Miniver, he doesn't. But he does have a glass of cold water that he was drinking, but is now trying to balance carefully on the poet's head.

That done, it's now just a case of waiting for Miniver to wake up, or move.

True villains know how to be evil! .. with water! .. and.. maturity.

Chiffre is MEAN.

But also, Miniver is really, really, really asleep. Chiff might have to encourage the situation a little unless he can be very patient.

Le Chiffre can totally be patient. But today is not such a day, so after a minute or two, and an impatient foot tap later, he gives a sharp whistle, followed by a not-at-all gentle poke in Cheevy's ribs.

If he's any deeper sleeping than that, then he's going to find a marching band. Or create a controlled and close explosion. Neither are really wanted.

The poke is enough to make him move, which is enough to knock the water over his head. He sits up with a sharp yelp and topples onto the floor, blinking with a baffled expression.

"WHAT THE FUCK."

Remy was not a meaniehead like Chiff some people.

He was, however, easily entertained, which would be why he was sprawled across the other chair, flicking playing cards at the unconscious stagehand. Just good old fashioned bicycle cards, not his usual weighted ones.

Initial card-smacking results in sleepy hand-batting, but eventually as it continues, he does blink awake.

"Buh?"

Cards had vanished, all twelve of them that he had left, he'd gotten down to the final suit, that was amazing in and of itself, usually people woke up partway through the first one.

Remy? Remy was really really good at looking innocent, "Y'know, s'more comfortable places t'sleep t'an t'couch."

Miniver sits up and yawns. "Oh, what? I didn't meanta fall asleep here. What time's it?" He rubs his eyes and looks at who was tossing cards at him.

And is abruptly very, very awake.

"Oh. Uh. Hi, Remy."
