Toki was nearby, reading his usual comic books with his usual murdertrain-festooned blanket, and his stein of mulled mead. Seeing Darcy in the corner of his vision, he hesitated, before steeling himself, and standing.
He approached her. "Heyas Darcy." He sounded apologetic already.
"Well, I hadn't intended to go as anything, but the powers that be decided otherwise, and I ended up dressed like, um..." Her brow creased, trying to remember what Miniver had told her, "Betty Boots? Something like that anyway."
She shook her head, "Nowhere near enough clothes, I'll tell you that right now."
