There's, as usual, something in the woods.

You'll smell the blood before you see him.  If you see him at all.

He's going back tomorrow. The Door is getting harder to ignore and Doc just knows.

Right now he's walking through the trees. New Mexico doesn't have many trees and Sherwood had plenty, and he's just walking and thinking to himself.

"Psssst."

Doc turns quickly at the sound and the voice he hasn't heard in awhile. He'll admit, his heart kicked up a notch.

"Santi?" Because that voice is no other's.

"Hola."

Santi appears, looking genuinely just excited to see him. It's Doc.

So, going with general advice, Marc's outside.

So far? Really, really bad idea. It's dark, there are too many trees, and he's starting to get unpleasant vibes from his general surroundings. And no, he hasn't spent too much time in the city, thank you very much.

Also? He smells blood.

"Hello?"

Disembodied voices also tend to up creepiness levels.

Like nothing else.

There is a period in which Marc's face is expressing a silent scream before the scream actually comes out of his mouth. It's only a millisecond before he's dropped to the ground, arms over his head.

It may be worth noting that the scream was incredibly high pitched.

At present, all Marc is wondering is whose bright idea it was to come outside.

"Shhhh,"

And no one gives comfort like someone who's been frightened. Very frightened for a long time. The voice is close and young and sweet, for all that it drips a little like stale water.

Le Chiffre is still far too weary of being outside alone to ever spend too long out there. But he still pays the occasional visit to the woodlands, especially when he hasn't seen a certain someone for a while.

HOLY SH-- Le Chiffre thinks his heart might have just run away. Just give him a chance to breath again.

But he looks happy to see Santi!

"There you are!"

"Hi."

He sounds unreasonably proud of himself. Made him jump!

"Hola."

He peeks out from behind his tree with a smile.

He shrugs. He's not really sure where the time went either. It doesn't exactly pass the same way for him. He did spend years alone, after all. He can distract himself with almost anything.

Normally, Sariel doesn't mess with the woods. Between the dark and somewhat eerie thing, and the chilly and getting chillier pseudo-Scotland weather thing, they're really not her cup of... well, tea's plenty fitting.

Tonight though? tonight she's... not precisely messing with the woods either. that's to say she's at the edge, only a few trees from relative open air and not going any further in. Still, the forest is the forest, yes?

OOC: Tagging while highly sleepy, but I'm another one for slowtime if that's alright? this just couldn't be passed up.

"Hola."

She isn't alone.

The forest is the forest and she isn't alone.

She isn't alone, say true.

Wait a second, what?

Sariel blinks, turns, looks for the source of that voice... and backs a hurried step toward the nearest tree. "Hello?"

That scent on the air hasn't escaped her notice either, and in her book, it means absolutely nothing good.

"Are you lost?"

Someone standing behind her, a few paces back.
