Miniver comes into the bar from Los Angeles for the first time in a few days. His younger self has long since returned to his own world, and the bar magic is free to play tricks on the hippie. It's actually very Oscar Wilde, he feels, except for the extraordinarily noisy tie ( Read more... )

"You too huh?" Came the almost forlorn comment from the nearest booth.

Darcy had figured out that sitting down was the easiest way to pretend that the skirt (if it could even be claimed as such) was long enough even for modesty's sake.

Miniver looks over and immediately grins. "Hey, wow, we've got real celebrities in here now!"

He was enjoying this.

Well, why shouldn't he? Apparently cartoon-Paul wears very comfortable clothing. He might just keep it if the magic doesn't disappear it later. Though Miniver does not yet quite understand what the barmagic has dressed him as. The movie didn't come out for another year after his time.

She blinked owlishly at him, head tilting, "Pardon?"

Sure, she'd been an entertainer before she'd Crossed, but nobody here had known her, and nobody had recognized her before either.

"Miniver! Your tie's...weird."

There's a giggling rabbit boy leaning over the back of the booth next to the table, smiling wide as he gawks at the Irish poet. He's having a great deal of fun costume-watching...apparently having gotten over the very glittery, Cinderella outfit that he's been placed in, by now.

Which the mun doesn't have a picture for. And thus mourns.

Alas for lack of photos! Though the mun wonders about the vast worlds of anime fan art out there...

Miniver grins at Momiji. "Dude. You're like... glittery. I think my tie is FINE next to that."

"Aw...but I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be glittery. I've never seen a tie that looks like that."

He giggles a little, shaking his head so enthusiastically that he nearly loses the little crown on top of his head.

Miniver laughs. "You're supposed to glitter?"

"Am I? Oh, sweet!"

The movie came out a year after his time.

And hey. Candy? Oh, he is SO into that! He tosses back the rest of his "tea" and gives her a pounce-hug aimed mainly at stealing her rum.

Bwahaha.

"Actually you look kinda fantastic."

Candy is awesome. And so is that hat. "Dude, you did? It's pretty sweet. Where'd you get it, back home?"

Miniver will happily make up for hr inattention to the rum.

"You know what I hate?" Asked Pickles, dropping himself into the seat next to Miniver.

"That whatever runs this place knows my birth name."

The appropriate description of Pickles' expression is this >_o

"They do? I mean, yeah duh but... They're psychic, or something, right? How can you tell? And by the way d'you happen to know why I'm wearing a tie that looks like it was designed by someone on acid?"

BECAUSE IT WAS but y'know.

"Dude. You shoulda seen what they put me in first." He held out the spandex outfit. "At least this outfit ain't too bad, even though it's still Banshee-wear."

"Yer tie is totally Yellow Submarine, dude." He pointed out. "Actually yer whole outfit is."

Miniver gives the outfit, and the rockstar, a critical look. "Okay two things. What does a yellow submarine have to do with my tie?" He missed the movie by a year. "And um... banshees are women. Fairy women. Irish ones, yeah, but... women. I think either you or Bar is confused. What's that have to do with your name, anyway?"

Ginny walks over, the bright colors catching her eyes first. Then she focuses on the person and smiles.

"Hello"
