There's a faintly scowly-looking blind man going over a fat Braille volume at a table near the Bar. Given that there's a line of ordinary print at the top of each page, and that it reads CRUTCHFIELD, the reading most likely has to do with the half-disassembled subwoofer elsewhere on the man's table. He's impossible for Jonathan not to notice, with his newly acquired senses. The opposite is probably true, as well.

He approaches, treading deliberately loudly once he spots the Braille book.

Whistler stops, his hands pausing mid-line, and cants his head to one side. "I don't think I know that footstep," he says. "Or do I?"

Whistler grins. "Gotcha. Hi there, Jonathan. Nice to meet you." He sticks out a hand for the shaking, but probably misses Jonathan's actual direction by about half a foot.
