"Oi, badger!" he greets him anyway, coming over and flopping down across from him, grinning a doggy grin.

The badger blinks at the dog a few times before responding, as he is having trouble not laughing at the picture in his mind's eye.

Danny has most likely worn that sheepdog costume when he was 6, yes.
