Tonight in the bar, there are a couple of small androgynous people in sarongs with a book. It's a charming scene, really -- father (or mother? Hey, another otter!

Who has not yet discovered fishcream!

This. Must. Change.

Thankfully, Mia is a nice perso- err, otter, and she's willing to share hers.

So, they are joined by an otter with a frozen fishy confection on a stick.

Therem watches, brows raised a little. Another otter!

Sorve shuffles over to greet her, sniffing excitedly -- because smells make so much more DIFFERENCE now! And that fish smells very, very, very good.

She knows. She's been living off of these things and whatever she happens upon in the lake when she goes swimming.

And now that she's finally got the hang of talking, she says, "Hi!"

Sadly, she's not too sure how to say either of their names like this.

"Hello," both Sorve and Therem answer together. Sorve is eyeing her with intense curiousity.

"Is that what I look like?" he asks his father, who nods, noting that it is going to be interesting trying to tell them apart.
