There are two pups in the bar - two completely unrelated pups who don't even know the other exists, because really, why would they? They have nothing in common.

On the one hand, there is a Remy, sitting atop the bar's surface, just people-watching and more or less enjoying a lazy day off.

Remy, meet... well, Remy.

The rat was being squinted at, this was followed by: "Pssst! Hey, you got anything shiny?" And a ferrety facepalm, "Sorry. Meant to ask if you used t'be human."

He shook his head, "No idea, I mean, I'm a Thief, capital T, and Ferrets are nature's theives, so that kinda makes sense I guess, dunno 'bout anyone else though."

[ratatouiller]

Remy nods, thoughtfully.

"I've never actually met a ferret before." Thus, he doesn't know about their connection to being thieves - he does know that his kind are often pegged as thieves, stealing food, though.

A wheezy ferret-laugh at that, somehow managing to shrug, "First time for everything. 'Specially 'round here."

[ratatouiller]

"Now that's something I can definitely agree with," says Remy, chuckling as well.

Finally realizing that he hadn't introduced himself, he offered a grabby little paw, "I'm Remy by the way, didn' think to mention it earlier."

[ratatouiller]

Slowly, the rat takes the ferret's paw.

Blinking, he replies with slight humour, "I'm...Remy, too."

Puzzled ferret face!

"...Really?"

[ratatouiller]

Remy starts to chuckle, now.

"Yeah," he says. "That's - well, I can't say I've ever met another Remy before."

He smiled, shaking his head, "Me either. Is yours short for something?"

[ratatouiller]

"No, not that I know of," says Remy. "You?"

[thiefprinceremy]

Another headshake "No, not b'sides what I tell people sometimes as a cover. Been Remington b'fore, and Rembrant."

[ratatouiller]

"Those names do sound like they'd be the longer version of our name," he says, rather impressed.

He supposes a thief has to have other aliases, too - not that rats like him ever need aliases.

[thiefprinceremy]

He smiled again, nodding, "Pays to have aliases in my line've work."

A wriggle of a shrug, "Sort've like how authors have pen-names, y'know?"

[ratatouiller]

"Yeah," Remy says with a slight grin.

He doesn't know much about authors themselves, but he's read books. He likes reading them.

[thiefprinceremy]

There was another smile at that, nodding once more, "And besides, sometimes y'just want t'be somebody else for the night, y'know?"
