Toki accidentally picked one up while reaching for his guitar, and realized that you really can't play a large lizard's tail like a fretboard a couple moments later.

"Oh! Sorry!"

"Ees okay pinky." the crocodile assured him.

Its disguise had worked!

He was Eyed for a moment, "You has zeeba?"

Toki was never a very fast one, at least as far as disguised crocodiles were concerned.

"Does I has a what?" He eyed the Crocodile warily. "Zeeba? Ze.. Zebra? Oh! No, no zebras here, I only gots a bit of beefs jerky and a melonade."

He offered the bottle of melonade in consolation.

"Pfeh. Should be zeeba." It did, however, accept the bottle, flopping itself down, feet sticking straight out in front of it.

It took the critter a few tries before managing to get a sip, maybe a straw would help, "Heeeey, dat's pretty good pinky."

And a very puffed-out fox wondering just what in the WORLD he is looking at.

And then, after being snuffled at, "Pfeh, not zeeba. You gots any?"

The fox circles slowly, curiously, creeping, tense and fascinated.

No, I do not. Is it something I would like to have? Is it food?

He is VERY interested in food.

The crocodile sighed, "Ees food, ees zeeba." Because clearly if you said things more slowly, more emphatically, and with bigger hand gestures, it made them clearer.
