There are the clink of bottles, accompanied by familiar legs. The flavor of hte marble-decorated ramune dangled down between chairs is lychee.

"To wash them down," says Hiro Nakamura.

River blinks, head lifting.

It's a long moment before her hands rise to the glass bottle, and longer before she accepts the weight of it.

He lets her ease into the weight of it, before he kneels down, nudging a chair out of the way. There is the popklickpfffsst! of opening a ramune bottle, and then he says, "You like wasabi?"

Since, you know. A bowl of wasabi peas is there.

Hiro gets a gold star for detective work!

"Superficial isothiocyanates," River says softly, and runs a finger down the neck of her bottle, watching condensation gather and trail behind her touch.

"It's very spicy."

Stitch is also on the floor, not too far away. He's engrossed in drawing something or other on a sheet of paper Bar has thoughtfully provided. In crayon. The intense look of concentration dissolves as he catches an interesting scent. Wasabi peas and, as an added bonus, someone he knows.

Stitch looks up from his work, offers a smile (no baring of the fangs today) and waves. It doesn't strike him as odd that River's on the floor. He's on the floor. Why most of the bar doesn't think to sit down here is a mystery.

River agrees! The floor, like the rafters, is an entirely comfortable place to ensconce oneself.

She doesn't notice Stitch waving immediately, but the motion does catch her eye at last, and when it does it sparks a tentative smile.

The smile is taken as invitation to wander over. Which he does, paper and crayons clutched before him.

"Aloha." Perhaps not one of the words they'd covered last time but the general meaning should be clear. He snuffles curiously at the bowl. He's not come in contact with the little spheres of death before.

"Yes," River says seriously, and offers him a pen.

It's green.
