"I've got it." He's leaving behind most of his scientific equipment, just bringing the stuff it wouldn't be easy to replace. There's a pack full of clothes on his back, and two boxes in his arms. He's good.

"Okay, man. No kvetching at me, though, if you drop anything."

A little pulse of pain threads through him. Kvetch. He'd gotten that one from Bobby.

"It'll be my own fault", Kevin says patiently. "I know."

Darien gives him a Look at the 'patient' act.

"Liam ought to be showing up any time now. I told him I'd be ready, like... nowish. Might get some coffee, though. You want anything?"
