There is the sound of a muffled explosion from upstairs, followed by a door being opened and slammed shut, followed by coughing and the sounds of running foot steps coming down the stairs

Well, the grey eyes are surprising, almost more so than the explosion was. She peers in them with her violet ones for a moment before saying, "As long as you're all right, I'm not too concerned. I'm just more used to explosions when there are certain friends of mine around."
If it wasn't for the red coat, and if his hair was just a bit lighter....
And a rather perplexed Spider-Man watching him. That's right Spider-Man, a very lanky(obviously a teenager), grimy(you know from swinging around fighting bad guys), and smelly Spider-Man was looking directly at him.
He was hanging from upside down from a string of webbing over the bar. On the bar was a bag, a glass of water, and a wash cloth.
Al's posture relaxes slightly, he's not sure what "Spider powers" means but he is more intrigued than repulsed by this strangely dressed human. At least he is going to assume it's human. Safer that way he thinks.
"My lab exploded when an alchemy experiment I was working on went wrong."
Al shrugs the red cloak from his shoulders and plops into the seat in front of his water glass.
Indicating the other seat he smiles at the "Super hero", a smile that reaches right up to his gray eyes.

It was only a short while ago that she came in from a much-needed day of battle and she thought she was finished with hearing explosions today.
"What was that?" she asks before she could stop herself, though not asking anyone in particular yet.

"My lab (cough) had an accident, (cough) an experiment exploded."
He lifts the towel back to his face rubbing the last of the stubborn soot away.
lowering the towel his gray eyes shine as hee looks to the speaker.
"Sorry if it disturbed you."

Al shrugs the red cloak off of his shoulders and places it in the booth. Strecthing his arms out to their full length he looks back to the young girl.
"I'm Alphonse,but everyone usually calls me Al."

Seeing no one there Al looks up towards the rafter.
"...What are you?"
There is a curious trepidation in his voice as he slowly backs away from the counter.

He cherry dropped down from his place over the bar. He landed in a crouch and stood up.
"What happened?" he asked.
