When Doc comes down from his room, he's still not quite pleased. He doesn't take a mint. That would probably just throw him over the edge. He asks Bar for a glass of water and gets the note from Caspian and the stock record, looks them over, and then folds them neatly and tucks them into his pocket. He also asks for a newspaper.

When he reads the article in the New York Times about his arrest and the way they've spun it to make him sound like a ruthless murderer, he manages to contain his anger and moves to follow the storyline on the next page.

Then he gets pissed.

He heads upstairs and goes into his room. The stock record and the note get put on the drawer, and then he grabs the guns he stored here earlier, a time that feels so long ago to him but hasn't really been much. He takes a minute to clean the smaller psitol and then the rifle, before he shoulders them and heads out the back door.

If someone comes outside, they'll find Doc at the 'range', with the pistol at his hip, and the rifle in his hands. He wouldn't be adverse to being watched as he blows off a bit of steam, old West style.
