Peter is in the bar. He has a notebook, and he seems to be making a list.

I KNOW IT'S FASCINATING. But that is, in fact, how he's choosing to spend one of his last few entrance posts. Go figure.

Lilly sees him when she comes downstairs and hesitates for a moment on the last step before she lifts her chin and heads straight for him.

"Hey, Pete. Going somewhere?"

You can always count on Lilly.

"Yes." It's flat, as blunt and head-on as her own tone. "You'll take care of Duncan, I hope? You've had an equal share of him thus far, anyway."

He doesn't seem joyful, or even entirely peaceful. Mainly he seems weary.

"You get heaven, I get horseshit? Sounds about right."

Lilly's smile doesn't reach her eyes.

"What's the list for?"

Peter crosses off two things on the list. "Things I have to do."

Tell Lilly
Make sure Duncan is taken care of.

"What would you have me do, Lilly?" he says quietly.

Maybe it's the almost familiar features, or the far too recognizable now weight that causes her to comment. She'd almost made it away with her tea before the compelling feeling settled heavily into her feet.

"That's a very serious look you're effecting," Marian offered gently, as she poured the tea from the pot into her matching cup.

"I'm often serious," he agrees. "Other times, not."

"Important business tonight?" She inquired, able to make it sound curious without looking nosy, as she finished filling the cup and set down the pot.

"Fairly so. It's everything I intend to do for the rest of my life," he says equitably.
