It is rare, exceedingly rare, that she chooses to leave the House of Arch for Milliways itself. But Ingress is asleep, at least for now, and Megwyn is restless -- more so than usual ( Read more... )

Outside, by the lake, there is a young man fresh-come from his home. Hellenus is back at their sister's bedside again; Hektor has come here to rest, and to think. The lake is as good a place as any to do that.

At the sound of hooves on the soil, he looks up and his breath catches in his throat.

She swings her head around in order to regard him, with interest.

This "horse's" eyes are a bright, clear blue.

White-coated horses he has seen, but they have had grey to them here or there, a few dark hairs scattered about in their coats. A horse-seller from Arabia told him that if ever a horse of pure white is born, with no dark anywhere to them, the sun-god claims the foal straightaway before ever it grows to adulthood.

He cannot remember ever seeing a horse with blue eyes, let alone one all of white.

Megwyn tosses her head, whickering softly, then takes a step toward him.

Silver hooves chime softly against packed earth.

Raven's coat is not so much gleaming.

That is because it is black.

This, in truth, was not always so.

Still.

Possibly he is watching Megwyn more than the lake, head tilted.

She is a very strange thing, after all.

She tosses her head and curvettes to one side, looking at him.

::Hello::.

Raven grins back.

Widely.

"You are very white, I think. It is interesting."

::You are very observant,:: she replies, and the sending has a feel of amusement.

She blows out a breath, tossing her head again.

He lands on the far end of the lake after his time in the air, enjoying the walk back around the shore, taking his time reaching the door. When he sees Megwyn he slows, then pulls his wings in cautiously.

He isn't sure if she's spotted him, but caution never feels like a silly idea with that one.

It doesn't take long, in any case, before her head swings around so that she can pin him with her bright blue gaze.

::Raguel, isn't it?::

There's no feeling of doubt, though.

"Yeah," he says, somewhat resigned.

"And you're Megwyn?"

There's no doubt in his mind, either, but it seems to make people more comfortable if he doesn't seem sure.

::I am.::

She paces toward him, head held high, and her hooves chime against the packed earth as she moves.

::I'm glad to have the chance to speak with you again.::
